The Butterfly and Other Invertebrates Club Inc. (BOIC) published 106 newsletters and magazines over a period of 28 years, from February 1996 to December 2023. The newsletter was originally entitled "Butterfly & other Invertebrates Club Inc. Newsletter" of which 49 issues were produced from 1996 to 2008. However, it was then changed and upgraded to "Metamorphosis Australia: Magazine of the Butterfly & Other Invertebrates Club", which ran from 2008 to 2023 with 57 issues. Generally four issues were published in each year, although only seven issues were produced during the last three years before dissolution of the club.
